ABOUT

Located 50 miles east of Bakersfield, in the Southern Sierra Mountains of Kern County, lies the small unincorporated community of Twin Oaks. You’d probably never know you drove through it unless you stopped at the Twin Oaks General Store on your way through what is an otherwise deserted stretch of valley road. It’s in that store that Bryant spent the good portion of his very early years as his parents were the ones that converted it from an old, one room school house, into a store. At five years old his family relocated to the suburbs of North San Diego County but those years spent roaming the hillsides, going to the yearly team penning competition, and fantasizing about growing up to be a cowboy have proved to be a deep well of inspiration for Bryant’s songwriting. After a long and winding road which included a six year stint in the Navy and graduating from Berklee College of Music, Bryant has found himself on the technical side of the recording studio world at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles. Being surrounded everyday by some of the best in the business at making great recordings has given Bryant an ear for what constitutes a professional product but an even greater appreciation for the fact that there is nothing that a great recording can do to save a less than great song. Armed with this insight he obsessively writes and rewrites with the goal of producing material that is worthy of the time and passion that it takes a whole host of other contributors to make a hit song.
